weird knee/leg pain.

it feels like my outer right knee and leg, it's not so much a muscle pain as it is my bone. well that's how it feels. =/ it doesn't normally hurt when i walk, only sometimes when i go up and down stairs. but as soon as i start running it hurts.
i think i might have overworked my leg since i just started running in january. sometimes my right calf would tighten up so much that it was hard to do simple drills.
oh yeah, and sometimes i feel this really bad pain in my right arch of my foot.
anyone know what it might be??
is it possible that it can be that i put too much weight on my leg by carrying books and stuff at school?
