I'm a Diet Coke Junkie. I'm giving it up (trying at least, I may have one with lunch... maybe just a medium, not a supersize)...Drank coffee this AM and a liter of water. Been peeing like a crazy woman. So far so good.... It's 12:42, though, and time for lunch now!!!

Whizzer, I'm with you. These tofu-eatin, yogurt-makin, soy bean lovers need to just back off of the Diet Coke posts (just kiddin, folks). Besides, I've tried all that "Natural" and "whole" foods stuff and it all tastes like either goop or burlap.

Unfortunately, I've got a six-pack a day habit. But, I love the fountain drink the best, especially from Chick-fila. Mmmm.

I don't ever supersize (my food...I **DO** supersize the Diet Coke... Or I **DID** I have to think in past tense) and I do think MODERATION is key. I would NEVER eat like that Supersize guy... I don't know how he'd expect NOT to gain weight on that kind of daily diet. They don't talk about his exercise habits either, but I'm sure they were non-existent. Basically it breaks down to calories in v. calories out... If he can burn all those Big Macs and Supersized fries, then more power to him...and that's how I have been thinking... HOWEVER, what I want to focus on and think about is fuel for my body... what you put in is what your ultimate body comp will eventually be made of... Do I want muscles made out of Big Macs and McGriddles/Swiss Cake Rolls and Gummi Bears or should I try for something healthier/more natural?

I don't see myself giving up McDonalds FOREVER... I'd just like to get to the point where it's a treat... something different or unexpected... not my morning breakfast! I work too hard in training not to afford myself a treat now and then... And a treat for me is a McDonald's breakfast. I also don't see myself eating such scant meals as a cup of Cottage Cheese and a few peaches. I'm HUNGRY. Whatever I choose it's gotta have some substance... It's just got to be less greasy and manufactured, and it should probably come without a wrapper. (Well most of the time at least!)

I worked there too! It never turned me off.... I don't know... I've got some sort of wrapped sandwich fetish. ! Or boxed hamburgers, as in the case of Big Macs!

I love those little Krystal hamburgers (I think they're white castle's in parts beyond), we call em sliders cause you can eat them in one bite and wash them down with a big swig of diet coke!

on my shopping lists I'll scribble some permutation of the word, then randomly cross out a couple letters, so it is recognizable but looks as if I attempted to correct the mis-spelling......pretty sad, really.

Either way, I didn't acquire a taste for the square steamed burgers. Give me In-N-Out anyday. Grilled onions please. Maybe today, in fact. Hey, I've got a 30 mile ride to prepare for. ;-)

Oh man, you had to say in-n-out. There is none higher. Double Double baby. wooo, i'm lickin' mah chops now just thinking about it

I survived the Chicago Triathlon and had an Egg Mc Muffin and hasbrown for breakfast. A medium diet coke. I earned it.

Race report to follow. Finished in 3:28:?? I haven't seen the results yet, just what came in to my husband from the cell phone monitoring thingy that was attached to my timing chip. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!
