you should have told her that your boobs weren't huge and that it was your massive lungs she was looking at.

I've got one from my 9 year old...."Mom, what's that crinkly stuff on the backs of your thighs?"

My 12 year old:  "Aren't you a little old to wear a two-piece?"

Gotta love those kids....

To be fair, bike shorts do make you look like you dropped a load. ;-)

Also, to a pancake flat 8 yr old, boobs, any boobs, are overwhelming.

As for #3, I'd take that as a compliment.

I was telling the kids at breakfast about a dream where I was out and had no clothes on and of course everthing was conspiring against me to get back home and dressed. So my 8 year old thought this was a pretty 'nasty' dream. I agreed and said it had felt rather nasty.

His response? "Oh not for you mum, but for everyone who has to see you!"

Hmmmmmm........kids, they are so darned precious! Just wait until your little sweetie is a teenage, these same comments will be a little less naive and a little more pointed!

8 year old: I am in my bike shorts and she says, "Hey mom, you might want to check yer pants, looks like you made a deposit".
Teen: "Oh, MOM, you CAN'T wear THAT! I'll be the laughing stock of the neighourhood!"

8 year-old: New running top... "Wow mommy, your boobs are HUGE, how can you breath?" Teen: "Ugh! You're too big "up there"...you can't go out in public like that! It's so embarassing for me!"

8 year-old: Wearing a bikini in the spa.... "Ya know mommy, for a 41 year old you look good in that, I give you an A....... now if you were 25 I'd have to give you an F."
Teen: "Aaaaaarrgggh....you can't wear a bikini at your age! You'll embarass me!"

Do you see the common thread there?
