Subject: I know this was already posted...
but I also wanted to announce my first triathlon, which I completed this past Saturday along with Bear (as he posted already). It was awesome!!! I had a great time even though I felt like death warmed over during the first mile of the run. I can't wait for my next races. My times were pretty good; all around my usual times in rigorous training-- 200m swim: 4:06/10 mi bike: 29:something/ 2 mile run: 19:something. yay! On top of that I placed second in my age and 9th in the women's division. Talk about your picker-upper. lol

Thanks to everyone for your encouragement. I can't wait to hear from all of you in your first and following races!

I don't care that it was already posted - you deserve your very own little spot in the ether for your great effort. :-) Isn't it liberating doing triathlons?! And isn't everyone REALLY impressed when you tell them?! We are going places where 99% of people at the same age and stage wouldn't dream about! And being able to run in public in bathers should have its own award - never dreamt I would do it - I was one of those "towel wrapped around as soon as broke the water surface" women before Tris! Dx
