As I see it, the only problem you have with your muscles is that your jeans do not fit well.  The solution is simple, wear shorts and skirts and get yourself stove pipe jeans.  A very good lady friend of mine is a runner and she is also quite short.  Her calves and her thighs are very muscular but she looks looks great in a skirt or in her running outfits.  You will find that there are many men out there who do like a woman with muscular legs as opposed to those long bony legs in Vogue and other silly magazines!

Maybe your calves are big from jumping up to reach things off the middle/top shelves. I recommend shopping with a reach extending grabber stick and moving all items in your home to the lower shelves.

I have a problem with bloody knuckles. I think it has something to do with them dragging on the ground, on a plus side I have an audition with Geico for their commercials. Not the one with the cute gecko.

The muscle I have been building is coming strictly from the sports I participate in, mainly running for the last five years at greater levels, but also biking and now swimming. I have been learning to swim since November and can already see upper body definition from that endeavor. And I am not cranking out any distance in the pool yet.


Then this muscle is good for you.



In general, the faster athletes that I have seen have less body mass (e.g muscle) which is why I asked the question in the first place. It is not causing me to lose sleep at night, but if there was a better way to get my body less bulky, still train and the level I want to and still be healthy I would consider it. If not, I will live on just fine.

I did much better in botany than biology, so I could probably use a refresher.

Thanks for the thought, but I gave up jumping to reach things a long time ago when I kept hitting my head on the ceiling (my high jump talent is really quite amazing!). Now I strictly climb up the shelves to build my upper body a bit to balance things out.
