Subject: Timing chip question.
Do the races provide the chip and the strap? This might be a stupid question, but when I last did a few sprint tri's back in the early 90's, the races I did didn't use chips. I'm getting back into racing this year and I'm just curious what the deal is with the timing chips and straps.

YES. Some races will allow you to use your own (many won't), but as long as the race is using chip timing, they'll provide a chip and strap.
