I know that in the IM races these are avaialble during the bike leg.  What "help" do they usually offer?  I assume basics stuff...run out of Co2, Flat tire, ect?  Is that pretty much it?

Don't depend on any help....they do have some SAG support but you could be out on the course for a long period of time waiting for them. Be prepared for anything minor (i.e. flat, or chain breaking, derailuer not working). If you have a big mechanical then you just have to wait it out. Best insurance is to get your bike tuned and inspected a week or so out.

Great input....I plan on getting the bike looked over the week before and make sure I cam limit as many surpirses as I can.  I think I will take the bike maintenance class 101 at my LBS that is offered so I can atelast have a baseline of knowledge.

So if I break my HED 3 wheel they will replace that for me too?  Tongue out

Speaking from first hand experience last year at IMCDA the sag wagon can be a race saver.  Good friend and training partner wrecked and "tacoed" front tire and they got him back on the course.  Took about 1.5hours, but he still got to finish.

Be prepared for flats, loose screws, chain sag/suck, etc.
