I'm traveling up from Chicago this weekend. Get there Friday about noon and doing an OWS with the TNT crew, most of whom have never swam in non-chlorinated water, then off to registration. I'm sharing a room with someone I've never met. I might have some floor space if anyone's interested. Of course the roomie might be a dbag.

My plans change like the wind blows. My wife suggested she come up with with kids to watch my athletic prowess. (ok I made that part up). So we are coming up Friday night and staying in Plymouth. Probably be up there about 5:30 - 6. Still not sure of post-race plans.

By the way did everyone get the e-mail saying the water temp was 63? Or was that sent to me to frighten me?

I'd say its warmer than that. I was in last Sunday and it didn't take my breath away. I was only wearing a long john style wetsuit and i was comfortable. Remember, you swim faster in colder water! Today's heat will help, but the rain coming tonight might offset any temperature rise.

Saw the email for 63

i swam in Cali with 60 and that was much colder than the EL water that I have swam in the past 3 weeks

You will be fine, so much that you could do the sprint without the suit - just not the oly

Hey! Who put the donkey in the well?
breaking news report from jsonline:

Rescuers attempt to pull donkey from well
Sheboygan County officials are attempting this morning to rescue a donkey that fell approximately 15 feet into a well.

A veterinarian on the scene in the N7000 block of Highway E in the Town of Plymouth requested assistance about 10:14 a.m. from the Plymouth Fire Department to help rescue the animal from the old well.

Sheriff's Sgt. Blaine Spicer said authorities on the scene do not know the extent of injuries to the animal but suspect it might have broken legs.

"We won't be able to tell until we get it out of there," Spicer said.

Rescuers have donkey in a sling

A donkey that fell about 15 feet into an old well was rescued by the Town of Plymouth Fire Department today.

Sheboygan County Sheriff's officials said firefighters were able to use a sling to lift the donkey out of the hole.

The animal was evaluated by a veterinarian and appeared to be healthy and fine, according to sheriff's officials.
