Depends on the race. All races I have been to have a change tent. I wear bathing suit under wetsuit...change to run shorts onder cycling gear...then strip off the cycle gear for the run. Only one stop at the change tent.

Just get some tri shorts and a tri top. No changing, you wear it through out the whole race. Swim, bike, run.

That is totally the way to go...that way the only changing you have to do is your shoes/socks.

I'm assuming you mean water temp. If so, I would strongly recommend a wetsuit. USAT allows them when the temp is <78, and at that point every degree is noticeable. Unless the swim is super short, you will want a suit, unless you either really like being absurdly cold, or have a ridiculous pain tolerance.

FWIW, when my dad would fill our pool with the hose (in Michigan) in May, the temp of the water coming out of the hose was generally mid 50s. take that as you will.

Those who wear tri shorts & top - do you need body glide ? - if so do you apply after swim...before run....more ??

Don't need body glide for a trisuit - i've only ever used it for wetsuit swims.

Yes, that is cold and the Atlantic usually is not warm until August that far north. You may get some nice days in July, but June is still too early.

When my wife told me she liked my triathlon OUTFIT  told her to never say those two words together EVER again.

On the other hand, I always wear a two piece. top and bottom separate.

I say go with the unitard.  Damn comfortable, don't have to worry about women wanting to talk to me.  Seriously though, very comfortable, no gaps.  Plus, a pocket in the back; great for the bike.

Trisuit no quesiton.

Body glide.  I do not squimp on the private area and also do my ankles to get the suit off a bit better.

For oly and shorter, consider sockless.

I find that k-y jelly works better than bodyglide. lather up your legs and ankle area and you will have no problem getting your wetsuit off.
