I was looking at starting a ride at 11:00am. Probably do 2 laps at a fairly easy pace. Who wants to join me? Does anyone have an idea if access to the lake is possible to do a swim either before or after?

How long is each lap? I will probably have to work back in allen at 1:00, but I might be able to make it for a little bit.

I'm interested in riding the course.  I'll have to check on a couple of things and get back to you.

No, you can't swim in the lake.  I think on Playtri's website it says this.

I will be riding the half-Iron course with my wife and a couple of buddies on 4/15. We can't get out there until later in the afternoon.

OK.  I'm in for riding on 4/15.  I might run after also.  I the area around Las Colinas well.  There is a small park on Riverside that would be convient to park at and ride from.  I'll try to find the name and a map.

I am going to do an OWS, with Dallas Athletes, early. Then will be at Williams Square by 11:00. I will just plan on parking in front of the Mustangs.

FWIW, Tommy(zia cyclists) and I rode the Half/Oly course today. It should produce some fast times. The uphills are short and not very steep, while the downhills are long and gradual. You should be able to stand-up and pound the hills and then easily recover on the downhills. We averaged 17 mph for 40 miles without putting out much effort. My Ave HR was 130 and I will average around 150 for the race.

Sorry I didn't make it, I had to go to work early and worked 10 hours. Work sucks.

what about the turns - did it seem like a lot of turning?

did you ride the wrong way on the access road too? or go around that part....seems like i read the access road thing somewhere.

too early to knee-jerk but there is some rain forecasted, at least 30-40% chance...

Yes.  Lots of turns.  Also lots of street crossing.  There was more traffic on Sunday than I expected.  Traffic control is going to be a major logistical feat.
