I have a Profile Design aqua rack and can't really use a "behind the seat" wedge for spares and CO2 cartridges.  Anyone have a suggestion or know of something that would work?  And no, I can't afford an aqua wing at present time.

If you can do without the water, stick it in an old water bottle and put it in the rack.

rubber band/velcro them up under the seat or around the seat post?  You could also use a jersey pocket or two.

For training -- jersey pockets. For racing, go minimalist. Wrap a tube and levers and tie them IN the saddle (between the rails and the shell).

What ever you do or plan for the race day.  Go out before hand and ride on the roughest rough and see if anything jiggles off.

Last year at IMCDA  I was amazed at the debris that fell off bikes.  tubes, Co2 cartridges, those little Co2 devices,  ect.ect.

Just like the Tour de France riders did in the early 1900's.  They'd twist their tires into a figure-8 and put an arm through each loop, carrying them on their back!

I love that picture of the row of riders from a 1930's Tour de France...where one guy is lighting the cigarette for another...
