Arthritis anyone?

I've been diagnosed with spondylitis - arthritis of the spine and peripheral joints. I raced my first tri fighting the pain (not knowing yet what was wrong). I'm going to continue training for my race this year, but I'm wondering if anyone else has a similar condition (or knows of anyone who does).
