Subject: Cervelo Dual vs. Orbea Aletta
Hi All!

This is my first post and an important one at that. I was hoping some Cervelo owners and Orbea owners could give me their two cents on their bikes and help me decide between the two. I'm still relatively new to triathlons (8 months, done 1 sprint and 1 Oly) but I just LOVE it and am therefore in the process of getting a tri bike. As of now I'm currently trying to decide between these two bikes. My LBS has a special going on where they're offering the Aletta for $1500 with Ultegra (supposedly retails for $2200 or so according to LBS) and standard Aletta setup.

I've heard alot of hype concerning the Dual and it's incredible value and would like to hear people's opinion on the value of this Aletta deal. I'd really love to hear from anyone who is riding or has ridden an Aletta.

Thanks a bunch!

I bought my first tri bike back in 2005 which was a cervelo dual. I love the bike, have ridden it from sprint to IM and have no complaints. Great bike for the price.

I also have a Dual which has seen several thousand miles of use since I bought her last summer. I couldn't possibly be happier with it. I've never ridden an Orbea, so I can't comment on it (though they are nice rides). But if you go with the Dual (or any Cervelo, for that matter) you won't be disappointed.

Also happy with my Dual, know nothing of the Aletta. Dual rigged with Ultegra also sells lists for $1,500, DA takes it up to $1,800.

Ride them both to see if you have a preference.

I had a Cervelo, then got an Orbea Ordu, I love both bikes. For the price, I would opt for the Dual. I thin kits a bit more aero, and you get more for the money.

Another Dual guy here (see the pic!).  I love my bike.  It is out of the box a sweet ride.  I cant imagine going a different direction.

I just bought a HED 3 from Ebay and am looking to add a Renn 575 as well.  So watch out!
