Alabama Coastal Triathlon

The time estimate is because they may be doing a time trial start in the swim. That was still up for debate last I heard. I don't really like that format as you don't really know how your doing in comparison to your age group until after they post the results.

Ken how is the run course? Is it basically flat?  Also how high is that over pass? Seems you really can't use the down hill on one side because you are going into a turn right away.... is that accurate?

The course is as flat as can be. It is along the beach road and will be very hot. You are correct on the bridge thing. You climb up, about a minute and 30 second climb, not real steep but still a climb, you fly down and have to make a hard turn to the right and then under the bridge and back over. You will not be able to use alot of the speed on the first downhill.

When are you getting to town. I will probably ride some Saturday if you want to try it.

Water Temp in the high 60's and the swim is gonna be a time trial start.

I hate to be picky but that is cold water in my book.... I will manage but I have a hard time with hyperventalating in cold water....
