Ok, so I have made a game of coming up with movie quotes for each entry in my log.  Since I have noticed many of you also have this fascination with movie quotes and quizzes I decided to make my April entries into a game. 

I will list the quotes and you tell me the movies.

1. Cole, TIRES are what win a race

2. Who's a big winner?  Mikey's the Big Winner!

 3. This place got a pool? 
 Pool and a pond... Pond be good for you.

4. I like them, I like them! I liked them first! Before I even met them I liked them! As soon as I met them I liked them right away! You hate them compared to how much I like them!

Oh shut up, you're so annoying! 

5. Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State.

6. This isn't flying. This is falling with style!

7. Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

8. What we've got here [gentlemen] is a failure to communicate.

9. Will you do it for two scoobie snacks?

10. It looks like we're up chocolate creek without a Popsicle stick!

11. Milt, we're gonna need to go ahead and move you downstairs into storage B. We have some new people coming in, and we need all the space we can get. So if you could just go ahead and pack up your stuff and move it down there, that would be terrific, OK?

12. Relax, would you? We have seventy dollars and a pair of girl's underpants. We're safe as kittens.

20.  It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile; winning's winning.

21.  Life all comes down to a few moments. This is one of them.

22. Have a little faith in people. Not God, cause he's just an imaginary friend for grown ups.

23.  Enough of this Sunday stroll 

bonus:  my log title '220... 221, Whatever it takes'

I will give everyone two general hints... I have a 3 year old son who watches a lot of movies and as per the interactive COJ last week I am 32 years old.  last hint... a few quotes are from the same movies.

I got 1,5,6,7,8,12,13, and 17.  THe rest is all mumbo jumbo to me.

 

I think the quote in number 6 is wrong.  You should replace This with That.  I believe Woody was talking there, not BUzz.

Actually, they both said it...so "this" would be appropriate if he's quoting when Buzz said it.

Oh, and how could you not get 9?

You are very close.  Woody does say it the first time using 'That', but the quote is Buzz saying it at the end of the movie when he has the rocket strapped to him.

I had assumed it was one of the Scooby Doo movies but I have not seen them so I only went with what I was sure of.

I'm missing 2, 4, 12, 16, 17, and 18. I got the bonus.

And #6 is correct. Buzz says it that way towards the end of the movie.

Got most of em.  As I was reading through them I thought "You have kids."  I think Madagascar is hilarious and there's a lot of VERY funny stuff in there that adults who will never see the movie will appreciate.  Cohen is funnier as King Julian than he is as Borat.

I got 1,2,3, 5,6,7,8,11 (a classic),12,13,14,17, 19 (same as 3), and the bonus.

I feel like I should know 9,10. I think I know 15. 16 - No clue. I can hear 18 in my head, but can't place it. 20 and above have got me stumped.

I suppose I should get out more.

That is so true!  I laugh more than my son does watching this movie.  The penguins, maurice and king julian are the best.  It took me a while to figure out 'Sugar Honey Ice Tea'.  When I did, I thought how in the world did they get away with that in a kids movie?
