Swim
Comments: Swim wasn't bad, but wasn't great, second half of swim went better than first half, but still need to improve stroke and speed. Transition 1
Comments: Transition went smoothly. Keep shoes in pedals and transition went well. I think would be smoother with road or tri specific shoes. Shoes now are for mtn. biking. What would you do differently?: Nothing, for second tri, I felt transition went well. Bike
Comments: Bike went well, rode a comfortable race. Still need to train more on bike to maintain speed. Average speed was 18mph. Need to improve on that. Stayed in aero position for most of race. What would you do differently?: Train better. Transition 2
Comments: T2 went well. Rode with feet on top of shoes, went to jump of bike and left foot slipped b/c shoe slipped out of clips. Nothing serious, but watch out for next time, until I can get better equipment. Run
Comments: Finished first out of my age group, run went really well. Could have pushed harder at beginning, but overall am pleased. Post race
Warm down: Rehydrated and replenished calories. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training Event comments: Rocketman was awesome, can't wait to do it again next year! Finished 3rd in my age group, pleasantly surprised with results. Last updated: 2004-08-09 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5am, breakfast was one waffle with PB& honey.
Light stretch and hung from inversion bar to loosen back and get blood flowing.
Did not warm up as much with run,but b/c this tri was in regular order I ran a quarter mile and swam for 5 minutes to warm up
