Subject: Still here...Barely!!

Well, we finally got our computer back online today after Hurricane Frances.  I would like to thank fellow BT'ers for e-mails of concern.  Of course, I didn't get them until today. 

The kids are off school all week because 1/2 of the county's schools still aren't ready to reopen.  (not so great for training, eh?)  That has GOT to be the world record for slowest-moving hurricane!  Now Ivan is turning north, towards the gulf and/or us.

Short course nationals are in Shreveport in 1 1/2 weeks.  I figure either we'll get hit again or somewhere along my driving route to the race site will (that's up thru the panhandle and along the gulf, of course).  In any case, things aren't lookng good for me and that race.  MAN, I'm bummed.

Welcome back. I'm glad you weathered the hurrican well. We are getting the tail end of Frances up here in Canada right now...it's raining since last night with no sign of letting up.

Thanks everyone.   Start praying for the next one.  It'll be hit or miss by Monday or so.  I did take a great picture yesterday of the kids standing next to a huge tree laying completely on its side.  The root base extends about 20 feet into the air.  I'll post it if I ever figure out how.
