Hello!!

Thank you for all the warm comments in my training log. I am back (married) from my honeymoon. You really keep me motivated!

Unfortunately I haven't trained for past 3 weeks (except some short swims in the sea) but Crete was just to hot to me... Now I am going to catch up with all the messages in this thread and return to workouts.

Cheers

Marcin

Congratulations! Everyone seems to be getting married atm...

I am finally back, and although meaning to I ust haven't had a chance to train... been sick, and tired, and my friends keep coming up with fun things to do that make me even tireder (eg clubbing till the wee hours of the morning)... Hahaha, but I have been good, very little alcohol and lots of water and dancing, hahaha...

I just got back from Saskatchewan. Katepwa lake. Nice place to be but the lake was so full of weeds that I could not get out. No bike or no running for the past 2 weeks.
Got out today and now I feel better.
Hope everyone is getting along fine.

Sorry I've not been around. At the end of June I fell down some stairs and thought I was on the mend till mid July the cut on my leg flared up and I then began a course of antibiotics to get over the systemic infection. As a result I was off my feet for a couple of weeks and the inability to train was just awful. The consequences with my weight were just as awful. It's now 6 weeks to my first tri and I really need to shift my butt!

I'm now back!

Hi Chris,

The plan at the moment is to follow the 2x 16 weeks with it finishing on the date of the tri so I'm doing the times required. I've googled reviews of the race and it looks like it's going to be pretty hilly on the bike so I'm concentrating on that for the cycle work outs. The swim is pool based so I'm trying to up my stamina by doing the distance with tumble turns. I can do the distance with out but this should help me get used to swimming under pressure. At the moment I'm trying to just get my body back into running again so that I can just do the distance.

I screwed up on Thursday cause I jumped straight back into it and when I stopped training I could easily work out for 1 1/2 - 2 hours no problem. Thursday I managed 1hr 10min on the bike then went swimming and had to stop because I felt pretty ill and was sure that vomiting in the pool was a definite faus pax . C'est la vie I suppose and I just need to work up to it again!

Thanks for the advice. I'm following the plan for a sprint but the race I'm doing is half that (it's a novice one) so hope I should be well prepared.

How're things with you? It's a bit quiet round here!

If anyone or you are still about then have you any advice on what I should wear? The plan is to wear shorts and a sports bra for the swim with a top to cover me up on the cycle/run - does that sound O.K. or should I rethink things?

Any advice welcome!

Hello all

It is quietly here, I wander if the group is still running. How are you doing? I got back to training after a long break, with new goals and focus on consistency.

Cheers

All went great with the wedding, I just got very tired after that It took me almost three months to get back to training.

I noticed that you post some training from the Tacx Flow. I am thinking about getting this one as well.

You are doing very well with your workouts - I can't believe you suffered from lack of motivation!

Kind regards,

Marcin
