Subject: Brick Question
I kept reading references to bricks and finally looked up what it meant. Turns out, I've been doing is all along, but never knew what to call it. Now I know...learn something new every day.

But here's the question(s)...is a brick just doing two of the three disciplines? Does anyone do or recommend doing all three during training? If so, is it still called a brick?

sure you can do all 3... if you are doing a smaller distance no problem at all.... if you are doing longer stuff, may not want to do it often...  I use to do little mock tris all the time.  so i say go for it, just be smart about it...

maybe we can come up with a new name instead of "brick"

I propose "brickwich" based on time factors...

shorter swim (bread), longer bike (meat of the workout), shorter run (bread).
