Subject: RE: HRM transmiter battery? jsnowash - 2007-05-19 4:29 PM Okay, so I'm pretty sure the battery in my (polar) hrm transmitter is bad. Can I change the battery myself, or do I need to send it to Polar or get a whole new transmitter? I'm also wondering how long the batteries typically last. I've had this one for about 6 months, and use it a couple times/week. Is that a normal life for one of these? Thanks! Transmitter (on the strap) or the watch? If its the transmitter, do you still have the box it came in. My Polar had replacement rubber seals in a plastic baggie for the transmitter in the box. I've replaced the battery myself twice and didn't have any issues with water. Oh, I should add, I've replaced the battery in the watch unit once myself. Hasn't leaked either!
