Subject: Dizzy After Swim?
I have gotten dizzy after my last two 50m pool swims (about 6 weeks apart) and I am not sure why. I know my form needs ALOT of work but does this happen to anyone else? If so, maybe a tip or two of what I am doing wrong would be appreciated.

Are you breathing violently? Or slowing turning your head to breath?

Like I said...my form isn't great so I bet I am breathing too hard and swining my head violently. It just seems hard for me to catch a good breath.

Try using earplugs. Your equilibrium is controlled there and water in the ear can cause dizziness. This may work while you reform your technique.

you may just need to swim more.  your body may not be used to the exercise.  how much do you swim, you've only logged 3500 yards this year.  if your volume is that low you may just need to get your body accustomed to swimming.  i used to be dizzy after every swim workout until i up'ed my volume and developed more swim fitness.

Agreed. I will be ramping it up ASAP to 3,000 to 4,000 per week and getting some lessons.

I was having this problem when I started swimming, especially after open water swims.  It went away with time (then came back temporarily when I was learning flip turns :0)
