Subject: 50+ posts and finally time to introduce myself Well, I used to be athletic. I used to run for a track club, running sprints. I HATED running farther than 1/2 mile in a workout. I assure you, my attitude is changing.
I am a stay at home mom with all its jobs and an elected official in one of the largest cities in Utah (I think I will invent an "elected officials" division so I will have a chance at placing : ) ). I am not a "political type", but have found community service to be a humbling, thrilling, stressful, exhilarating experience-I think some of the same feelings I will have when I complete my first tri.
My husband and I are doing this tri thing together. We both wanted to get into shape and listened to my brother rave about his tri experience in CA. We thought this would be a good challenge for us. And I didn't want to be outdone by my little brother!!
My first tri is late this fall, here in Utah-a run-bike-swim sprint. At least the swim is indoors. My goal is to just finish. I can hardly wait!!
Thank you for all your support and answers to my questions. Besides, I am an Athena (always will be because of my height ) and love PB so I think I have found my place.
