Morning ATL BTers.  Should have posted last week, but I'm down in Covington, GA for the next 2 weeks covering some testing at a local plant.  Looks like you guys already have some pretty established road rides and bricks setup.

I didn't ship down my bike, but would be glad to get together with folks for some runs and swims.  I'll probably hit one of Mila's early morning spin classes next week.

Here's my sched for this week.  Free all day today and tomorrow (I cover 10pm - 8am).  I'll probably get a swim in at the Covington Y this morning and a short run, but I'm pretty free tomorrow (although hammered from the change in sleep schedule).  It'd take me about 50 min to an hour to get up to North ATL, where most of you guys hang out.  I fly back to MN for the weekend and am back again next week.  Available for morning workouts from about 4am in the morning until 12pm in the afternoon all next week.

Not superfast.  Can run anywhere in the 10 min/mile to 6:40 min/mile range, depending on the distance.  I swim about 1:55/100 in a pool and my open water swimming skills SUCK.  I need practice!

Just send me an inspire or PM if you've got some extra time for some group training.  Life in a hotel can drive a person crazy...

We do not do a whole lot of group runs that are not associated with a bike ride. A group will meet at Kennesaw mt tonight for hill repeats. I can not make it because I am taking my cousin out for a birthday dinner. Several of us will be doing our Roswell Ride tomorrow night. I have two old bikes that are still good. You could borrow one of them except a friend of mine has both of them at her house. I do not think that I will be able to get one before tomorrow at ride time. I am sure that a few groups will form for weekend rides. If you hook up with one, you can borrow one of the bikes.

Thanks Neal.  I'm headed back to MN for the weekend to go camping with my boys.  I don't have a bike box, and I'm sure I won't get one in time to bring the bike down with me next week.

I appreciate the offer.  I'll remember to bring my helmet and cycling shoes down next week.  No biggie on the bikes.  I'll take anything.  An old Schwinn Varsity would do.   I'm SHORT...5'6"...O.K., REALLY short, so anything in the 49-51 cm range works.  I've ridden up to a 53 cm before on vacation.

Thanks again.  If things don't click, don't worry about it.  That just gives me an excuse to bug Mila at her spin classes.

Hey Mila, SPDs on the stationary trainers?

You can rent a bike here, http://www.trailexpress.com/SCD/sct_coupon_sc_depot.shtml, and ride the Silver Comet Trail.  I'm sorry I can't join you. I won't be in Atlanta anytime in the next two weeks.

Steven, thanks.  Might be a little late for tomorrow.  I didn't bring helmet, shoes, gloves, etc.  I do have shorts and jersey.

Unfortunately, next week I've got afternoon coverage for some plant testing (2pm to 12 midnight), so I won't be able to join you guys.

This won't be my last time down here, so I'll try to give you guys a little more notice next time...that is, if *I* get any notice.

Yessir... SPDs work at all three gyms... Life Time is compatible with Looks, too.  Bug me?  Don't make me break out the pink boxing gloves, Sal .

Oops.  Forgot to pick up SPD cleats.  I do have my Look cleats, though...

I would rather you have forgotten your running shoes... but I suppose you *can* spin in them .
