I feel for you. Hope you recover quickly.

I had a severly broken collar bone a few years back as well. Here is some advice.

Do sleep in a recliner as someone has already mentioned. It hurts like a mother when trying to get out of bed. you do not truly realize how connected the muscles are in your torso.

Do Not overdo it. If they gave you that sling contraption the pulls your shoulders back, stay in that for as long as you can. When I broke my collar bone, the two ends of the bone were lying on top of each other. I was young and stupid and took off the sling far earlier than i was supposed to and now, my collar bone is not very straight and there is a huge bump where the break occured.

Good luck with the recovery and at least the bone will be stronger than it was before.

Sux, Mark. But I think it's time to get another 2 or 3 mph tacked onto your bike average, no, and become the world lunge champion?!

Heal quickly, and glad things...err...went as smoothly as they could, given the misfortune.

I'm really sorry to hear about your crash and your injury.  I've broken my collarbone and it hurts like all hell for quite awhile.  Definitely take it easy, especially after they tell you it's healed.  Trying to come back too quickly can just make it worse.  I hope you heal quickly and don't go stir-crazy in the meantime.

Been there, done that!!!  Ouch.  I feel your pain.  Take care of yourself, and don't make the mistake I made when I broke my collar bone.  Get out and walk!  I got fat instead.

Honestly Mark, I would think you'd come up with a more unique excuse than "I broke my collar bone outsprinting a Dog" to not have to race me.  We know that you would have qualified for 70.3 Worlds and that I would have to chase you down on the run...but NO...you chickened out.

Now I have to go find a new rabbit....THANKS a lot!!   goes to find Jorge

Get better my man.
