I've never done a tri but my math teacher does and I wanna try one some day yes I'm still in school I'm actually only 13 :-) (4 real) but my fave teacher does them and she makes um sound so cool I just gotta try them.

Welcome! Invite your parents to look at this website with you. Ron has done an excellent job of putting together some really nice beginner articles. There are a lot of races that allow entry to people as young as 13 (to compete against the adults) and from what I've seen there are also races for kids as young as 6! Talk to your parents about your interest in our fine sport and I'm sure that they will be happy that you are doing something to keep yourself fit. Good luck!

Welcome - it is nice for teachers to see all the ways they can motivate kids.

 I have two boys, 11 & 9, and they became involved in Kids of Steel through their teacher as well - and I joined in from there. So the ripple effect is strong!

I second the idea of having your parents come into BT to see what we are all about - great info and support, and who knows ... one day they may be racing with you!
