Subject: Open Water Swimming - Northern Burbs
For those us that can not make it to the city for OWS does anyone have any suggestions for good OWS spots in the northern suburbs?

I have heard Grayslake has some lakes but looking for something a bit east or south of there.

I'm in the Grayslake contingent.

As for east, you can go almost straight east and hit Illinois beach State Park.  There are frequently wetsuit swimmers (I presume triathletes) there.

Otherwise I'm not sure.
