Well, just got the word!  No deployment for me.  Looks like some other squadron got the call besides us.  Kinda bitter sweet.  Definitely would have gone and gone happily if called.  That is what we do!  But, can't say that I am dissappointed to be able to sleep in my own bed here in the states for the next 6 months, instead of living in a closet on an aircraft carrier.  Plus...More training!!!!

Thanks to all that voiced their concerns and thought for me!  Please do me one favor...Say a prayer for all those troops that are over there defending us today (yes, even the army ones)!  Sorry, always have to take a shot at the Army when I can.  It's a Navy thing!  And, no matter who you are for in the upcoming elections, or how you feel about this war,  please continue to support our troops!!!!  they are doing one hell of a job in extremely tough conditions over there!  Thanks to all!

Lane

You got it, Lane.  Glad you'll be around this winter!  We'll have to get together for some rides.  Have you been enjoying the new felt?

Yep!  But can't say that I have been able to ride it as much as I thought.  It was with me the entire evac trip though whether I was able to ride it or not, it was faithfully by my side.  We are taking off for a few more days to let everyone slowly return from the evac, so it looks like I will have plenty of time this weekend for riding!

Looks like our Destin Tri may be off.  They took a major hit!  If it is cancelled I may be up for a road trip somehwere...say Hotlanta for a group ride or so.

Absolutely! Prayers for the troops said on a daily basis.

I'm glad to hear that you don't have to go. Now take it as a sign that you're supposed to be trainin' hard!

Yep!  Guess that means I have no excuse but to sign up for that IM.  Thanks for the prayers!

Cavu9,

Glad to hear you are safe and will join us in Destin (if it happens). Hey, if they do cancel it, will you let us know? I haven't heard but will try to look into it.

Take care,
Tony

Will do!  I haven't heard either, but I am a bit worried about it.  They took a pretty big hit over there.  I know it is a drive for you Atlanta guys, but I am looking at the Dave Scott Texas Man sprint in Dallas if Destin doesn't happen.  I have got to do one (my first) this year before I go nuts!!!  (Ok, more nuts!)
