It sure got complicated! You were all amazing. Whoa! What dedication! This challenge really worked for me too, got me into a nice routine and out to the pool early in the morning before the daily camp kids invasion/pee party. A tie would be fine with me. A new challenge would be even better! I NEED to work on running...

Should I start measuring in kilometers for that one to keep it interesting? The whole yards/meters issue reminds me of the failed Mars Rover mission a while back. Do you remember that? It was due to someone messing up the inches/cm conversions. The rest of the world just shook its head at the American non-metric measuring mess.

What's the point of building 25 yard pools anyway??? How silly.

Anyway, I'm still not a citizen and have my moments where I feel oh so superior despite having lived here half my life now.

I should go run again and get a reality check!

Way to go everybody!

Ok....I'm blonde, so bear with me.....I have your goal mike at 22,000, and when I go to your "Actual" numbers for June and July, and add up all the numbers that appear between June 8 and July 4......I see 19,800.  Again, I am not paying attention to Yards or Meters....just units....whatever numbers I see I add up.  So is that what is giving you higher numbers? Who thought that such a simple thing as a swim challenge would turn out to be so complicated???

As another (sorta) blonde (It used to be anyway, and I still get sun highlights now and again. Maybe that just means the sun's frying my brain...) I looked at Mike's numbers both manually (clicking through the logs), and via the total distance graph. Both ways it does (now) add up to 22,150.

Lesson for next time: Let everyone report in themselves. All this counting for other people is mucking up the water. And Lord knows some of the pools and lakes we've been swimming in are mucked up enough!

Shall we just declare us all Weiners and say that Chris, Josh, and Tom's avatars have served the sentence for all of us?

Eating the cake I baked last night should be our punishment. It will make us fatter, and I'm not much of a chef. Perfect punishment!

You'll just have to serve your sentence in abstentia.
Josh, please report in a confirmation...

I think you are right. Some people reported their, others I had to go get, so it is completley mucked up.

I do like the idea of a Core/Strength training challenge.  Not so much a guys vs girls, but just something to keep us focused on this month.  You're always going to bike/run/swim, but core/strength training is JUST as important, but the thing we usually let drop of due to time constraints.

Sleeping is also very important to the body, can we please have a sleeping challenge next?

How would it work?  I don't think you can measure it by time. We're all at different strength levels, so by weight is out. Frequency? Is it a standard set of exercises?

Also, anyone doing the Chino Sprint this weekend or the sprint in Tempe at the end of the month?  I haven't done one since the Tempe Int'l and I'm itching to race a little.

Well, I couldn't go with the girls doing a nekid swim.  I'd lose all the blood to my thinking head and drown.

This was definitely a tie!!!

Paulette, I only got sassy about the kicking the girls' butt in the challenge because I thought it was an EATING contest.   Simple mistake.

I am doing the one in Tempe at the end of the month. I need to go register for it so that I don't come up with some spectacular reason to back out. It will be my first tri!
