I'll be a short, round, mildly tattooed blondie with a 44cm green Specialized Dolce Vita....probably one of the last ones in my heat (Novice women 18-34....with the pink swim caps). It would be fun to meet some of you!

I was wondering who was going to get the pink swim caps. They made the novice men wear them last year. It was my first tri, I thought it was some kind of hazing thing...

LOL. I'm not thrilled with the pink caps myself, but it won't be on my head for THAT long. I wonder if one of the novice males complained about having the pink ones last year

Is there a standard BT meeting place up at Lake George? Looks like we are going to have a strong presence, but I still don't know most of y'all by sight, and would like to say hi! As usual, you can look for me sporting the obnoxious green Team Javelin kit.

Well, here's where we met last year...

autumn - 2006-06-28 9:56 AM ...do folks want to try and meet up before...the race? maybe we could meet up on the beach side of the bathrooms (lovely spot, i know, but its sort of a central spot right by transition and the beach)...

But we ended up kind of drifting to a spot somewhere between the bathrooms and the transition area...

Any spot's fine with me.  I'll be spending a lot of time with my wife.  It's her 1st tri, and she's VERY nervous.  She'll do fine on the swim.  She swims better than I do.   We worked on getting her comfortable on a road bike, but she opted for her mountain bike with slicks.  My only hope is to trip her on the run...kidding...

I'll look for you guys around there.  I may be obsessing over my transition area/in line for the potties in nervous anticipation.  I am currently feeling overly confident which is completely unwarranted.  I will be wearing a one piece black tri-suit and a pink cap.

For me, the bright spot about this whole thing is that I GET to wear the pink cap.

Johnny - I've tried to find you in two events now, to no avail.  At least now I have a good picture of you to go on.  How did I miss that green?

By the way, Androgenie and Quiana, I wanted to aplogize for not being out there on Sunday when I said I would.  Last minute change in plans.  Hope you guys went and had fun!

We ended up canceling because Quiana wasn't feeling well....which was just as well because I was really really sunburnt.

I'll be with you in the biffy line. Maybe I shouldn't have bought a one piece tri suit!

I'll be there! Shortish brunette with a purple tri-suit. Kind of like a grape.

I'll be there too! I think I will be one of the few without a road or tri bike. I have a light blue tri top and black tri shorts-just like 50 others right?? I met Sal at Calhoun one morning but it would be nice to put faces to the names. Just a few more days!

Weather looks favorable!

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 57.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.

Race temps at 7:30 should be in the mid to upper 60s.

I don't know what I'll be wearing! I might be the one wandering around naked with blank stare. I'll probably be wearing a black and red tri suit.

I am so looking forward to putting faces to names!  I'll be in either a white black and yellow Charities Challnge jersey or a yellow and black FCA jersey.  Hammer tri shorts all the way and a Blue and Yellow GT road bike.  (plus bald head )

Kelly and I will both be there.  She'll be volunteering in transition and I'll be competing.  More than likely black bottoms and maroon top. Some people have been debating on if they will allow wetsuits or not.  I know at a tri I did last year they did not allow them because of the temps.  But that only applied to the elites.  Us regular folks could wear them if we wanted.  I chose to not wear mine in Mankato last weekend because of the warm water.  But, I will do anything I can to wear mine this week for 2 main reasons. #1 rumor of swimmers itch.  I got it at Manitou wherever my suit didn't cover and it SUCKED!! #2 shallow water and weeds.  I hate the feeling of weeds over my body. I'm really looking forward to meeting as many of you as I can next week.  Did we ever decide on a meeting place?

I will be there. I am a member of the County Cycles Tri team also. I will be in a Green & Black Desoto tri suit with the County Cycle Tri team sponsors on the back. I am 6', 180 lbs, with a goatee. I will probably be hanging around with my 2 sisters.

Good luck everyone,

Lance

B-One - 2007-06-26 6:13 AM  I don't know what I'll be wearing! I might be the one wandering around naked with blank stare.

Then I guess you'll be making sure the rest of us don't have a blank stare, huh?

I don't know what I'll be wearing either...ah, decisions, I tell you.  Better decide soon...

LOL I forgot to mention that I'm wearing a mostly navy blue with lime green and white tri suit.....my round body in spandex might be more shocking than B-One naked :-P

Okay, I have officially maxed out who I can look for based on outfits alone.  Can someone create a sign or something???  Maybe someone with kids and a few boring summer days to spare?

Or if time runs out, the kids can just bring a Sharpie and write a big BT on B-One's nekkid body.

The B goes on the left cheek and the T on the right. Ought to be visible at quite a distance.

I suppose I'll have to shave for this race!

You're probably going to get sick of everyone asking you what BoT stands for then aren't you?
