Swim
Comments: SWIM WAS CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WATER CONDITIONS Transition 1
Comments: Came in from a 5k into T1 and onto the bike. I already had my shoes on, all I needed was my helmet!! Quick and easy!!! Bike
Comments: I fell (gracefully) on the turn. I forgot to train for turns!!! =) What would you do differently?: Not fall.....not be hungover!! =) Transition 2
Comments: Got in from bike, had to rack it and sprint to the finish. My legs felt like bricks (go figure) but I liked it....and I went gracefully into the finish!!! What would you do differently?: Brick training. Run
Comments: I was not mentally prepared to run first...and it showed in my performance! The first mile (wind at my back) was run in about 7:30....then came the turn around. I cramped up, the wind was completly against me, and the alcohol from the night before caught up to me and decided to come out! What would you do differently?: Not live it up the night before and always 'assume' the race will be a go! Post race
Warm down: no warm down What limited your ability to perform faster: wind/not mentally prepared Event comments: I wish we could have swam. I wish the weather were better. I wish I didn't fall on the bike and I wish we didn't START w/ a 5k! Thank you to EVERYONE on this forum. I thought of quitting a thousand times...and I didn't because I thought of every one of you! Overcast
Overall Rank = 438/456
Age Group = 18-24
Age Group Rank = 21/23
I was CERTAIN that the event would be cancelled due to weather, so I was quite hungover when I showed up at 7am.
No warmup....it was SOOOO cold (compared to the 90F I'm used too!)
