If you get Food Network, start watching Alton Brown's "Good Eats" - he doesn't do things that are overly complicated, and you'll learn something about food or food chemistry with every episode.

x2. He also gives a lot of good cooking tips. He has a couple of cook books too... I use them frequently.

I am so printing out these recipes for my collection!

I have a lovely collection of the "EASY" recipe books that you can buy at the grocery store checkout.

Pork tenderloin:

Take ~1# pork tenderloin, rub with some olive oil, minced garlic, ground black pepper and thyme (fresh if you can get it)

Put in oven @450 degrees w/a foil "tent" over it for 20 minutes, remove foil and cook for another 10 minutes, then take out and let sit for another 5-10 minutes.  It will keep cooking after you take it out, and after it sits a bit should have an internal temp of 150 degrees, but will still be very juicy.

Take salmon filet.
Put in tinfoil with butter and thinly sliced garlic and a pinch of lemon pepper seasoning.
Leave open.
Broil or grill for about 10 minutes.
Flip salmon.
Broil or grill for about 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Eat over white rice for a healthy, delicious meal.

Let's see, we'll go with dinner last night,  beans 'n' greens.  Takes <10 minutes.

chop 1/4 onion pretty small, sautee in olive oil

add some minced garlic - a lot, of course

add a can of white cannellini beans and some black pepper, keep sauteeing until hot

add chopped mustard greens and cook just until they wilt, pull off the heat

drizzle on some extra virgin olive oil and eat.

SUPER healthy.  Strong flavors, but I like it.  Take 10 minutes.  Planet-friendly.
