Subject: SAHM tri-ing to stay in shape and keep her sanity
Hello Everyone, my wonderful friends have talked me into participating in Sprint Triathlons. What was I thinking when I can't even swim and I can barely bike. Anyway, I survived the Lake Murray Tri in May and I just finished Series #1 in the Charleston Sprint Series. Now, that I am hooked, I am looking for my 3rd event. I am thinking about Tri the Pee Dee or the J.F Hurley Formula 1 Sprint. I am worried about the Pee Dee because a portion of it is on a dirt road. Since I am not "steady freddy" on my bike this worries me. Has anyone participated in this event?

Any tips for swimming and my transition times suck.

Welcome, I am a SAHM as well. . . . haven't done my first tri yet, but it is on the horizon! This is a great site for support--I know you will get lots of help and feedback!

There are a few other poeple signed up, they may be able to help:

Good luck and Welcome!

ps...practice transitions in your living room or lawn...really.  Setup your area, bike, layout of gear.  Go through the actual transition...you will get faster.
