Subject: What kind of paint on a bike?

I've got an old cruiser that someone gave me. It needs a little pizazz, so I was thinking about painting some flowers and skulls on it (naturally). What kind of paint should I use for this?

Muchos gracias.

Are you going to spray or use a brush?

If you're going to brush, I'd think that either an enamel (like model paint) or a good quality artist paint would be the way to go.

For (rattlecan) spray paint, I have had good luck with the dupli-coat paint from the auto parts store.

For an airbrush I gots nothing

I was going to leave the background color as is and just add details. I should take a pic of the bike and get ideas from you all.

Thanks, rlusi!

Upon reflection, model enamel (Testors) is really runny and could be a bit tricky to deal with on a vertical-ish surface.....go with artist paint, maybe a bit of clearcoat to gloss it up a bit.
