Who's racing this weekend?! I'll be there slugging it through the mil foil. This will be my third year doing this race and I am already getting butterflies. Not sure why.

I know 3 people that are doing it. I am waiting on a phone call so I can volunteer. Otherwise I think I'm going to show up and cheer everyone on!

Hey there...

I'll be there! Disclaimer: I'm going to a dinner party the night before where I'm quite sure I'll have a drink or two or.... so no guarantees about my performance, but I'm looking forward to it! Did it last year and had a blast. Nothing like a few Seafair Pirates lurking about to get me fired up to race. Pirates eat milfoil for breakfast, so I figure I can swim through it if I just keep them in mind.

Milfoil is edible? Hmm, I think I just found my nutrition strategy for this race...

It went pretty well...1:24 and change for me, not quite as good as my time last year, but given my day prior to the race of drinking/overeating/no sleep, I'd say I rallied! And only slightly sore today. I tell you, though, I need practice on that whole swim thing--I start out too fast, then splutter through the rest of the way. Not to mention my steering is a bit wonky. Ah well...it was fun!

A 3:59 improvement for me. Plus I snagged a bottle of that fancy Talking Rain water (score!)
