I'm putting together the final roster/info sheets for the greatest BT tri event of the year!  Let me know if you are going to be there.  I know there are more than this, who are you?

Now look, I know I am going to be slow this year but don't I at least make the list?

MarkK - 2007-07-11 11:34 AM Now look, I know I am going to be slow this year but don't I at least make the list?

I just took the names from the list of people who put info in the data thread I had going in the iron forum.

I'll be happy to add the sprint people too.  Post your name (first is fine), goal time, if this is your first tri or 40th or whatever and a little something about what you are thinking as you approach this race.

Post this all here and I'll add it to my spreadsheet.

Alright then.

I'm in.

David

Goals
swim = 16:00 flat
bike = less than 42:00
Run = Less than 27:00

Overall = less than 1:30:00

This will be my third tri.

Before this morning, I was thinking this was going to be my A race. The one I had been training for all year and was going to put in a PB. Now it is still going to be trying to put in for a PB but in reality, it is going to be my big time warm up for the Chicago Tri as I found out this morning I'M IN!!!!!!

Gee, can you tell I'm excited.

Congrats David!  That's great.  I'm making a roster for everyone and we'll set up something to meet up there.  If you haven't checked it out yet go to the IL or WI forums to see the threads on the Dinner that MarkK has set up on Saturday night.  That's another great opportunity to meet BT'ers just watch your fingers when the food comes out and don't sit next to StartingToTri!

Cheers and thanks for the invite. Won't be able to make it for the dinner though. Going to a friend's house for Brat's (mmmmmmm....... I loooovvvve Brat's) and then we are taking off to come home that night. Got tickets to the Chicago Fire V. Celtic on Sunday. But I do hit the IL thread.

Talk to you later.

I'm in too (I was just razzing before...)

Peggy

Goal time
Swim: 18 min
Bike: 55 min
Run: 45 min (did I mention I'm slow?)

This is my second tri (was originally going to be my first but decided to do Elkhart Lake a month ago).  I'm signed up in the Athena 0-39 range...there are 5 of us last count.  Haven't seen the others in the catergory (well, I've met one), but wouldn't a podium place be nice?  I doubt it, but it's an intriguing thought.  A couple of weeks ago, there were only 3 of us in the catergory, so it would have been an automatic, but now that there are more, it would actually be me trying to beat someone...hmmm....I won't be disappointed if I don't (see my goals for SoR on my blog), but it would be cool.

Did you check to see if their names were in it last year? Or in other Tri's. If not, you might have a one up on them. Might be their first. But above all, do your race. Shoot for your goals you have right now. Best thing you could do, and you just might surprise yourself.

You know I was just giving you sh*t there hangloose about not being included!!

Anywho, not really sure what to expect up at racine, as this will be my 3rd official tri, and I'm working through an injury.

Best guess would be:

Swim: 20 minutes (but hopefully closer to 16ish)
Bike: 40-45 minutes
Run: This is where I have NO idea as the injury only bothers me on the run. If it's a good day, close to 24-25 minutes, if it's a bad day, then closer to 27-30 minutes.

So as you can see, until my injury gets better, I NEVER quite know how I'll do.
Plus, I still get a little panicky at times in the water.

I did Accenture in 1:50, and my pain was pretty bad, so now I consider anything less than that a HUGE success!

How's that for an answer?

Tell that slacker to gimme some info.  Better yet, you answer for him.  Tell us some embarrassing dirty naughty inside info.  AG, goal time, first HIM?, etc.

Yeah, he's a slacker.  He's probably out running 3:00/per mile faster than me somewhere.
