I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but it appears to be legit:

Free I-Pod Offer

I opted for the free (2) week BlockBuster Trial.

the linked worked fine for me.  But what about the saying "if it sounds too good to be true........"  I think that applies here.  Brian, let me know when you get that iPod.  I'd like to be proven wrong in this case.

I'm definitely not one to pass on the 'fwd this to 100 people and get a $1mil', but this looks to be legit as it's run through I-Pod/MAC themselves. I figure even if it does cost me a $19 membership to Blockbuster for a month it's worth it. I'll keep you posted.

Thought you might like to read the article from wired.com. It seems to be a legit offer, but not without a few complaints.

It is legit.

I applied the 'too good to be true' rule as well when some co-workers pointed it out to me.

They now have shiny new ipods, and I don't.

There is a backlog of shipments once you fulfil the requirements, but they are shipping out free ipods.

Just a word of warning, once you sign up you will have spyware loaded on your machine. Which may be no big deal, however I am one not to enjoy spyware.

Just my 2cents worth.

Adios

And there be the rub!  If one is willing to put up with spyware and adware, it would seem to be a good trade-off for a free ipod (whatever that is!).  And, does anyone know of a good  site for spyware and adware removal programs.  I have loaded a few into my home computer but they are simply not effective.

The spyware program I have on my computer is called Spyhunter, and it does a teriffic job. Incidently, you get tons of spyware attatching itself to your computer every time you browse the web. Pretty much any time something pops up on your computer, it is a result of spyware. The first time I searched my computer it came up with around 170 different spyware programs on my computer that had all gotten through my firewall. Scary!

Michel,

I use Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition which is freeware and can be downloaded here. I run it every single day to be sure my system stays relatively clean (you'll be suprised what it finds!).

Ok, so I gave into the hype and because I'm a electronics freak I wouldn't mind adding an iPod to my collection (if I actually get it). It seems that you only need to refer 5 people to sign up to their website to get it sent out. So, if anyone else wants to try with the iPod deal, click on this link and help me out.
