thank you - I'm hooked!!  I'm a little stalled right now but signed up for a trail race this weekend to get motivated again.  I have a 5k at the end of the month and want to do a 10k in December - anything to keep me motivated!

Here is a picture of me after finishing my first tri not quite a month ago.  Im the one in the middle (the others are even close to qualifying for bigger than flies :-))

EVERY Half Iron Man should have a Slip-n-Slide at the finish!! It should definitely be required!!!!!

This is a little late in posting, but I had my 35mm film developed, and then later scanned in digitally to CD and now I have those back and edited - ready to post.

This is from my 2nd ever tri, a sprint distance in Huntersville, NC - the Take Flight event.

Not sure what order the pics will actually display, it doesn't seem to post by name or jpg size, so I'll probably have to come back later to edit the commentary.

... okay, hope I have the order right.

Pic 25 - This is the car that about ran over me.  Cop had traffic stopped, I was signalling left and starting to turn back off the road and into the lot where T2 was at ... you see how close I was and the center turn lane.  I had just came into the center lane and beside the left, rear quarter panel area of this jerk, when they darted out into the center to pass the cop and stopped traffic (they were tired of waiting for the bikers to pull in and apparently thought everyone in this group had pulled in and didn't see me so decided to just ignore the cop and pull on down the road.)

I had to swerve hard left and brake to keep from getting ran over - when I did the bike flipped over and I landed on my shoulder and then face ... knocked unconscious for 15-20 seconds and leg bloodied up.

Pic 26 - After the crash, recovered some of my senses and walking back to T2 area.

Pic 27 - Gained my senses about me, rinsed off my leg, made sure no bones were protruding, and when ahead and completed the run.  This is me coming across the Finish Line.
