Headline: Cheney to be in charge during Bush colonoscopy

heh.  i don't like politics, but I like these comments from you moreso than when you are apologizing.

Maybe everyone's worried that since Cheney's gonna have more "power" he is gonna start shooting more people in the face.

Two and a half hours!?!  Are they going in there with a backhoe?  It usually only takes about half an hour at the most.

I have seen the guy be funny and I believe he still has the potential to be funny. He's just got himself caught up in the "assault on the administration" rut and just can't seem to shake free.
I think the country is getting weary of this monotonous onslaught and poll numbers are reflecting the same. Right or wrong, I think it really unnerves his opponents that he is sticking to his convictions. I don't agree with a lot of things this administration stands for, but the Democratic majority needs to change gears and get on with business. The latest bit of grandstanding ( the all night session) was an insult to anyone who actually HAS worked the nightshift for any length of time. I'm reminded of the spoiled child who threatens to hold their breath until mommy caves in and gives them what they want. They have made their point, it has been noted and recorded in the books. They can't change the fact that they do not have the votes to alter the direction the administration is taking the war. Holding their breath and stamping their feet until they pass out, then repeating themselves is not serving any purpose and never will.
The country elected these guys on the premise that they had a plan to change the direction our country was headed. Obviously this plan is not working and they have failed miserably on all of the campaign promises that were offered up. Maybe the American people should be asking our newly elected majority when they are going to whip out this big plan and set it into motion.
Now, someone will call me an arsehole............

I say skip the colonoscopy. Since his head is already up there why doesn't he look for the polyps himself?
