Master 1404 Atlanta, Ga | Subject: RE: Ironman Wisconsin lol.. that does not bode well.. but you have nothing to worry about. You're going to kick some butt out there. I looked at all the past Wisc holders of that (my) number (1034), and all finished, the median time was 13:00 the fastest was 11:27. Slowest, 14:23. Have not looked at IM Lou yet.. or Kona for that matter. Edited by atl_runner 2007-08-30 3:53 PM |

Extreme Veteran 381 Peoria, Arizona | Subject: RE: Ironman Wisconsin Okay, now the real neuroses shall begin... Exactly one week from right now, I should be hitting T1, or possibly heading down the helix t the bike start. It is the final week everyone (okay, not like everybody didn't know that already). Is everyone enjoying their taper (including the extra time in the day for family and loved ones), that is except for the frustration and irratability as our bodies recover and rebuild to be ready for next Sunday. See everyone on Madison. I'll be staying at the Hilton Monona Terrace. When and where should we have the BT get together, so we all know who to be pulling that little bit extra for on race day? One of the morning swims, one day for a short run, or a quick, check the gear bike ride? Its almost time - WooHoo!!!! |

Member 61 Lake Villa, IL | Subject: RE: Ironman Wisconsin i've got even something better to stress over...so instead of thinking if i've trained enough, if my nutrition will work, or if everything will go as "planned",..i had this happen to me yesterday. so i was on my last true ride..and as i was going up a hill i snapped a chain, flew over the front, dislocated a finger (wich was great fun to pop back in), sprained my MCL and have a few nice bruises. so if anyone has some doubt about any of the things listed above, just think...it could be worse. have a great last week! see you all this weekend. |

I took 1 loop on the bike course today. Luckily I didn't see this or I would have freaked during the whole ride trying to be extra cautious, especially during the 42.4 mph downhill portion! You're a better person than I doing your own field medicine! I hope all is well - better stay with walking a swimming the rest of the week. |
