Subject: RE: Anyone try these: Pearl Izumi Tri R3 I just finished my first triathlon on Sunday in Richmond, VA with these exact shoes. I can't comment from experience as to how good or bad these shoes really are because I just got into cycling, because shin splints were sidelining my running and they are the first pair of cycling shoes I have ever owned. Anyhow, they are my training shoes and the ones I wore at the triathlon. They are pretty lightweight, comfortable and fit true to my size. They also seem to put power down really well and my transition time was pretty decent. I got them at Zappos.com, free shipping and free returns made it a hard deal to pass up. I did look at Shimano's TR30 triathlon shoe, but liked the Pearl Izumi TRi R3 looks better, if only a little more expensive. I hope that helps. Edited by stitchboy 2007-07-23 7:27 PM
