Subject: ON THE ROAD AGAIN
I was able to get out and run for the first time in about 2 months yesterday ... (high ankle sprian) ... the run felt good as did the ankle ... A little sore but after multiple sprains as well as 5 breaks over the last 38 years it felt pretty good overall ... glad to be on the road again ... will be looking for encouragement and support here so lets see who the friendlt people are

Glad to hear your out and running again! Wow, 5 breaks on one ankle? You must be a daredevil! Good luck with your continued training.

I had always thought the high ankle sprain would be no worse than a regular sprain, thought it was always a little funny when football players were out with a "high ankle sprain". Like most things that was until I experienced it for myself and spent close to six months rehabbing. Everytime I thought I was better, there was the little annoying pain again. It was pretty much like back spasms, I figured if hockey players could play through cracked ribs they should play through back spasms, until I had them...couldn't move for a day...

oh my goodness. 5 breaks in 38 years. that's nearly a break every 7.6 years. what kind of sports have you been playing? stick with triathlons because you'll be less likely to break an ankle.

welcome to bt and to the road again!

glad your back...and its cool that you havent gotten demotivated with all the prior injuries to quit...it can be downright depressing on the sidelines.

not sure where u live but this is the best running season in my neck of the woods.

good luck.

I'm with Ron on this one - fall is the best time of year for running, hands down. No more summer heat/humidity. Don't yet need 5 layers of thermal gear, and the air is cool, clear. I think I'm going to blow off work for a while an go for a run soon.......
