Now that Lake Placid is taken care of I can focus are more urgent lodging, like for MCM. Where is everyone staying?

I'm looking at Marriott (free room w/ points) but there is limited availability.  Right now Residence Inn Arlington looks like my best bet (1/4 mi from the start w/ a full kitchen) . Opinions?

I'll be staying at my apartment, so I can't really offer an opinion on hotels... but I am bumping your thread back to the top, so that's gotta be worth something.

And I thank you. The Residence Inn has a full kitchen but no beer in the fridge. I trust the fridge in your apartment does? No worries on brands, I'm not picky!

I did MCM last year and stayed at the Key Bridge Marriott (used points as well). It's really convienient if you have spectators coming with you, because they can see you twice within the first 4 miles. I was also able to walk (hobble?) back to the hotel from the finish at Iwo Jima. It is a little far to walk to the start though.

FWIW, I also stayed at the Residence Inn in Arlington in May for my brother's graduation from Georgetown (used points again). It is nice, too. A little farther from the Key Bridge and race route, but closer to the finish area.

Both places are very nice and easy to get to either from the airport or the metro (Blue Line - Rosslyn stop).

Good luck!

Thnx. Key Bridge Marriott is sold out (at least for points). According to MCM site Residence Inn is closer to the start, only 1/4 mile. Maybe its further from the finish? I'm flying solo on this one, so really start/ finish location is most important to me.
