Hi~ I'm looking at an Orbea Aletta tri bike. The size says xs but i'm having a hard time finding specifics. Does anyone know what the stand over height is for this bike?? I'm 5 foot with a 28 inch inseam and weigh 112 pounds.

Thanks!

Try here:

If you can't find it call the phone number on the website.

I'm looking at one of their carbon bikes. I met the sales rep at St. Anthonys and he was super helpful.

One thing I have heard about Orbea bikes in general is they run long on the top tube.

Hey~

Great idea! I'll call them first thing in the morning. I'm just having the worst time finding a bike small enough. They seem like a great bike.

Thanks for your advice!

You sound like me... 5' tall.  I'm not totally sure of my inseam, but I ride a 44cm frame road bike.  I suggest going to a good tri store.  When I went, I was told the only option for me would be custom.

Check slowtwitch.com for reviews on small tri bikes, they are doing some good features on bikes right now and have geometries as well.  Standover is only one aspect of fit, and they go into super detail about this.  Basically, the smallest stock bike out there right now is the Kestrel Airfoil.  A good custom options is Guru.

oops, double post.
Here's the link:  http://www.slowtwitch.com/mainheadings/product2007/tribikes/tribikesmall.html
They don't like the Orbea due to the 700c wheels.

My wife rides an Aletta and loves it. I would suggest riding it first to see how it feels.

Thanks!

I'm just bummed b/c I'm new to the sport and was hoping to by a decent used bike for $1k to $1,500k. I really don't want to spend $2,500 on a bike. But it's soooooo hard to find a smaller bike. Oh to be 5'5". I'll look into the Kestrel though.

THANKS!

Hey!

It seems like a great bike. My only hesitation is size. I wish I could ride it but I'm looking to buy it on line ($1300...bike shop close out). Anyhow, what type of build is your wife...how tall is she?

Thanks!
