Subject: Left knee pain only when cycling?
I have a lot of pain behind my left knee (not under the knee cap but physically on the back side of my leg). It feels like it might be a muscle but it happens every single time I ride, be it 2miles or 20miles. Anyone have ideas on what I might need to look at on my bike? I have lowered the seat a few and am thinking about taking it back into the shop to check my fitting. What else should I look into?

Your saddle is probably adjusted too high.  When you adjusted your saddle, you probably did like the majority of us and adjusted it with your right foot on the pedal.  Your left foot may be just a bit shorter or your pelvis may be tilted a few degrees off-centre, probably towards the right.  Check it out with a good bike shop mechanic.

I had a pain in sorta the same area like you're describing and I moved my cleat so that my foot was closer to the bike...and it went away.

don't know if this will help you, but a professional bike fit is definately a good idea. i got my 1st one at the beginning of last season and it was well worth the $100+
