The iPhone battery is only good for 300 charges then you have to pay $79 to replace it!!! How can companies get away with stuff like this?

Get away with what?  They're not dishonest about it, and people make the choice to buy them.

They just can't win.  People complain that they're not 3G, but that would have made the battery life even shorter.  No 3G, and we're still complaining about the longer battery life.  You're basically running a handheld computer.  It uses a lot of power to run.  I fail to see the issue.

I would expect a battery to last longer than 300 cycles. I almost purchased an iPhone and no one ever disclosed this bit of information to me. That would influence my decision on purchasing the product. My point was they should fully disclose this to consumers. Some may say it is up to the consumer to research this but until today I never knew this and I did a fair amount of research.

So you want it to have a longer battery life.  It doesn't.  Don't buy it.

BTW, you're quoting a number produced to serve a purpose in a lawsuit.  This is not confirmed by Apple or anybody else as of this posting.

Also, if you're gonna play early adopter, you have to expect some issues.

Not to throw salt on your wound, but I'm pretty sure you also have to ship it to Apple (like IPod) for battery replacement +$6.95 for shipping, so you'll be without all the data that's stored in it until it comes back.

Okay, with your usage, about how many days does a battery last before it needs to be recharged?

I have no idea as I am embarking on a new employment opportunity where it could get used a lot. There are many times with my current phone that I have to charge it daily due to usage.

Your new employment opportunity should pay for your work cell phone.  If they don’t and they want you to use yours, then they should pay for your service plan and new batteries as needed.  No worries then.

If you need to charge it every day, then you need to save about $10 per month to cover that expense when it happens.  Heck you plopped down how much $$ for that thing??  $10 a month should be no big deal.

You sound like a real cell phone user. Why would you consider an iPhone? iPhone=Trix=for kids

Spoken from someone who probably hasn't used or even seen one.  Nice.  (yes I know I could be wrong
