Ha ha ha.....I should be so lucky to be in a relay with Jorge; all the girls should be jealous!
Truth be told, I am hearing that Queen/David Bowie song in my head constantly now....Under Pressure!

Dum dum dum, dumdumdumdum....

Unfortunately, I have to admit that my real exposure to this song was when the riff was remade in a Vanilla Ice song. (How can I admit THAT??)

Under Pressure!

ok then... the smalkdown is OOOONNNNN! Team IronMay vs the BT MA mafia!

No No No No No!!  You got it all wrong.  You guys are PART of the MA Mafia!

It's us vs the CT gang!

Besides, it's not fair to have someone with an elite status to race against us AGers.  It's more like the demonstration event.

all I can say is once you get back to the finish, just make sure there is something for me to eat still. This last wave stuff sucks!! I have a hard enough time getting in before the awards start as it is, so do your best and fill me in latter

Ok, I am going to regret going back to the beggining of this thread to see that May gave me credit for the race summary from last year. Just for you, I will smash your time from last year or have DK drive my van to the local hospital to pick me up for the ride home! I hope you are happy now!

How is that for SMACK, you one trick, "oh I am still recovering from LP and training for a Marry" MAY!!

This just went from a "whisle to keep the pace simple" to all out war on a PR.

BTW, Stone, no worries this year. Julia Purr will be in town to watch her husband race. She is tring to find out how good a coach she is while she trains for WORLDS in Europe. So I do not think she will be threatening you this year.

Oh how cool that JuliaPurr will be in town. She became the BT Cranberry Legend last year.

I remember we were like.....who? What? Daaaaang!

Yeah I would like to PR my 10K one of these days: which was the Hangover Classic 10K 1/1/2004   :52.37. That was before I did triathlons and about the time I just started to run. Very pathetic and embarrassing how slow I've become.

Please.....Ironman Lake Placid is just a wisp of a memory and I haven't even gotten into the meat of my fall marathon training schedule.

I want this. I'm cutting my bike ride short tomorrow so I have somewhat of a chance to make my dream come true. Dreams come true if I reach high enough *sniff*, dedicate myself *sniff* and just go for it!!! God Bless America ya'll.

I don't know who threw me under the bus, but you definitely don't want to rely on my cooking skills for anything.  The only thing I know how to make for dinner is reservations!

I'm banking on next year's race.  I'll be 60 years old so I get a "Senior Citizens Handicap".  I don't know what that is, but I'll think of something.

:p May, I like my "I have undertrained since my injury, given too much time back to the family since Mooseman, heaviest I have been in 3 years" chances over your "not ready, but reaching for the stars, since I spend most ove my time in the sky" odds any day

Hey people, take it ez on May. She made sure today that I didn't do the whole race to avoid further injury of my left feet (thx May!) and also help me accomplish a 1st in tris for me... my 1st DNF (thx May!)

Congrats to all! From the sidelines, it was a very hot day even just standing around. Kudos to everyone that raced - everyone definitely looked like they had a good time.

Kudos to Joanne for placing AGAIN! For the most part, everyone has had a tough summer balancing life and training and I could tell everyone definitely left it out there on the course.

I admit that I am a TOTAL CHUMP for not running for Jorge. I did and still do feel disappointed in myself, but when he gave me an out this morning, I took it - to my surprise (and probably his!). I honestly wanted to give him and myself a good run, and I just didn't have it in my heart at 7:00 this morning. Yes, I'll remember this for a long time.

Max has photos in his album!

Hey May, I think you were smarter than me! I should have just NOT done the race at all and do some light training as I am still pretty fatigue from Tman. Anyway, sometimes is just more fun to be part of the cheering crew

CONGRATS to everyone, you guys did a great job under VERY warm weather. It was very nice seeing you all

Hell, if it weren't for May, there is NO WAY I would have had the same run split as Jorge! Good work, May!

Great to see everyone.

May, you are lucky Jorge didn't run because eeveryone may not have been so forgiving if he had re-injured himself. But remember we always love u even if we lay the smackdown on you.

I have to say I was proud of myself as I placed 5th in my age group. I could have taken forth as it was only a minute away from me, damn chain!!! But placing was about 5-10minutes away. Maybe next year!!!

Hi all,
Great to see everyone yesterday.  It is so great when we can get together and talk face to face.  Being the dorky engineer that I am, I was compiling a spreadhseet with BT members times from Cranberry.  Attached is a list of who I have so far, please let me know who I have missed and I will update accordingly.

Thanx
Dave

Thanx... D.K., and yes the sole reason for me making the spreadsheet is for next year!

Sorry Jorge, I debated not putting that in there, but hey, you and Rob were the only two smart ones to decide not to run in that heat!!! (oh yeah and May Wink)

Adios
Dave

for what it is worth, I used only screen names last year due to a few BTers not wanting there real names out in cyberspace. I must say that I am thrilled that I do not have to do the list again this year as it took me forever to do using race reports as my starting point. I am not sure, but I think you left Julia Purrs husband out. Not sure of his first name though.
