Biked in my running shoes. Trying to make room to rack my bike is what slowed me down.

Event comments:

This was my first triathlon. I was hoping to finish in one and a half hours, and ended up finishing in one hour and eleven minutes. I felt I did well on everything but the swimming (although my race time was better that any of my training times). I thought I would never make it out of that water. My breathing was very labored and swimming with so many people just really upset my rhythm. I knew though once I made it out of the water I would be okay.

This was a great race for a first time triathlete. It was very well organized, with a lot of support people.

I can't wait until I do my next race!!

GREAT RACE MARCY!

Wish I could have been there to cheer you on. Maybe next time.
I know what you mean about swimming with so many people upsetting your rhythm. I have the exact same problem.

Once again welcome to the club TRIATHLETE!
