My plan is calling for a 2 hr bike with a 30 min run brick afterward. Who's up for this on Sunday morning?  We could could mix things up and meet at Einstein's Bagels on the NE corner of Val Vista and Guadalupe, and go south on Val Vista, east on Pecos, up Elsworth to Baseline (18 miles) then turn around and come back the same way.  That would be a 2 hour ride AND we would avoid Guadalupe all together!!!  When we are done there is a green belt nearby we can run on for half an hour, then eat at Einstein's when we are done.  Meet up at 6?  Does this sound good to anyone???? Let me know!

I try not to run on Sunday because Monday is my long run day. I'll definitely be in for the ride, but I'll keep riding for the half hour following.

Yeah, just ride for a half hour more. That would work.

Well this thread doesn't have a date on it, so it's reusable.

So before our aches are recovered from yesterday's brick, what's on for this coming Sunday (9/16) ? I'll be back into build mode for SOMA, so something longer or more difficult than we've been the last 2 weeks would be good for me. (But that's just me) I'm open to locations, lap coordination, etc.

That's why I didn't put a date in it. Look how smrt I am!

I was thinking the same thing.  I would like to suggest either a 56 mile Tour de Gilbert, or some Usery Loop loop-de-loops.  What sounds good fellow ESCKTC peeps?

Won't I need Sunday as a rest day to recuperate from the Reverse Tri on Saturday?  /ducks

No Aaron, she just knows which buttons to press. She knows if she talks to me like I can't or shouldn't do it because it's too hard, then I'll do it.

I was only joking anyway because I figured she or Harry would have something to say LOL!

But that's why I'm here. If I didn't have the ESCKTC reminding me to get off my @ss, I'd be back to smoking a pack a day and wearing out the remote to my T.V.

I think Aaron and I need to take up darts and be roomies!

By the end of December we'd easily be able to compete in professional beer drinking/eating contests. A long run would consist of timed splits to the refrigerator and back to the couch.

Can I join your competitive eating league?

Can you join?  Heck, you can be captain of the team! I've seen you in action.

Even though my body is like a highly tuned Italian race car that shouldn't  be taken out for everyday rides, I'll go ahead and jump in for whatever you all have planned for Sunday.

So which are we doing? Tour de Gilbert or Usery loops? And are we meeting at Einstein's? And what time? (does the barrage of questions make it obvious this will be my first group ride?)

We are waiting for the masses to chime in....which clearly they are not feeling the pressure to do so just yet, as it's not Saturday afternoon!!

HEYO!!! Hrmmm...not sure what I am thinking yet. Just thought I would chime in. My head says 'lets try something new!' But not sure what the body says yet as this has not seen a bike seat in a few weeks.

What if we start LOW (below the 60 - usual Crismon and Guadalupe or up Greenfield as that has a nice bikelane) and ride UP to Usery, around and back down? I might have that loop in my routes...cannot remember. Just thinking outloud here.
