Subject: Tri events in 2008
I wanted to ask everybody where I might be able to find some information about sprint and Olympic distance triathlon events here in Arizona during 2008. I'm starting to train for the RnR half marathon and after that I want to train for and compete in a sprint and an Olympic distance tri during 2008.

I checked out USAT.com but they only had the Lake Havasu tri event listed and that is in March. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for being a newb and asking such a general question.

Hey there!!  Some websites to look at:

www.trifind.net/nf/az.html

www.getsetaz.com/calendar-search.php

www.trifamilyracing.com

www.dcbadventures.com/recent/events.php

Even if many of them don't have much listed for 2008, you can look at their 2006, 2007 events to get a feel for what they offer, as they usually put on the same races each year.

Wow, thanks for the info. I already know what my first tri will be. I'm looking at doing the one in Tempe on May 18th. That will give me 15 weeks to train after taking two weeks off after the RnR marathon. Thanks again for the great info!
