Ron asked on my last forum what are my goals for 2005.

I would like to do the Olympic Tri and the 1/2 IM. I gotta get a bike though. I did my last Sprint tri in Sep on a borrowed bike that I have never rode before. It was OK but the bike was way to big for me. Anyone selling their bike or know of someone who is selling a good road/tri bike? I just need a starter one nothing fancy.

Welcome to BT!!  Check out the classified here at BT, or perhaps ebay, it brought me luck a couple of times.

Welcome to BT also. You'll feel like an old member in no time. I've only been here for a week or so, and I already feel like a seasoned veteran on this site. haha Good luck with training for your Olympic distance. That's my goal too! Maybe a half IM in 2007- hey I can be ambitious can't I? =)

Welcome to BT. It's a great spot for info and friendly encouragement.

You might try the want ads in local papers. It's amazing the number of people who buy a bike at the beginning of summer then decide it's not their type of exercise by the fall.

Happy bike hunting and training!

I want to do the three sprints I did this year, plus an olympic or two.  And, if I am up to it, a half IM in September; this will depend largely on the amount of time I can devote to training.
